The Evoluent VMRC vertical wired right-handed mouse has 5 buttons including a scroll wheel. The left and right mouse buttons are controlled by the index and middle fingers. The scroll wheel can be used for navigation and can be controlled with the index or middle finger. The thumb controls the forward and back buttons. The Evoluent mouse keeps the arm in a natural position and minimizes the risk of developing consequences from long-term use of a computer mouse.

University of California at Berkley approved mouse.

The Evoluent VerticalMouse was first evaluated in 2007 by a team at the UC Berkeley Health Services Clinic, including physicians, physical therapists, an ergonomics expert, and PC administrators. It has been found to be comfortable, easy to adjust and supports proper wrist, forearm and body posture. It was the only vertical type of mouse that was approved for staff use within UC Berkeley. Current models have also been evaluated and approved.
