The Summa features a piston and base made with an eco-neutral Chrome 3 finish, rather than the Chrome 6 finish often used in a manufacturing process that is hazardous to both the user and the environment.
The Summa also features Humanscale’s chromium-free leather. This alternative tanned leather uses a synthetic vegetable tanning method to eliminate chromium, a harmful chemical otherwise used in most leather tanning methods.
